CAMEO collaborates with other organizations. Together we create a solid infrastructure that is crucial to the success of the micro sector.
- Association of Enterprise Opportunity (AEO):
AEO is the national counterpart to CAMEO. They advocate in DC and are working to support Micro Enterprise on a national level.
- Community Development Financial Institutions Fund:
CDFI is program of the U.S. Treasury Department. Its mission is to expand the capacity of financial institutions to provide credit, capital, and financial services to under-served populations and communities in the United States.
- The Corporation for Enterprise Development : CFED promotes asset-building and economic opportunity strategies, primarily in low-income and distressed communities, that bring together community practice, public policy, and private markets in new and effective ways. CFED fosters widely shared and sustainable economic well-being.
Micro Enterprise Fund for Innovation, Effectiveness, Learning and Dissemination. A Micro Enterprise research project of the Aspen Institute.
- Kauffman Foundation: Kauffman helps individuals attain economic independence by advancing educational achievement and entrepreneurial success.
- Public Policy Institute of California: PPIC is a non-profit, nonpartisan think tank dedicated to informing and improving public policy in California through independent, objective, nonpartisan research.
- Small Business Administration:
The SBA is an independent agency of the federal government which aids, counsels, assists and protects the interests of small business concerns, and preserves free competitive enterprise and to maintain and strengthen the overall economy of our nation.
- Small Business California is a proactive, non-partisan business advocacy organization whose only agenda is the well being of California small businesses. Working for all California small businesses for a better business environment. SB-Cal is responsive to the needs of California small business owners.
- Small Business Majority is an advocacy group founded and run by small business owners to focus on solving the biggest problems facing small businesses today. We actively engage small business owners and policymakers in support of solutions that promote small business growth and drive a strong economy. We advocate for policies that create jobs and maximize business opportunities and cost savings in healthcare reform, clean energy, access to capital and other areas.
- Microfinance 101 and 102 from the San Diego Microfinance Alliance.
- Credit Builders Alliance: serves as a unique and vital bridge between their members and the major credit reporting agencies (CRAs). Their core services, CBA Reporter and CBA Access, provide nonprofits with both the ability and critical technical assistance to report loan data to the CRAs and to pull low-cost client credit reports for the purposes of financial education, outcome tracking, and underwriting. In addition to these core services — which are essential to helping individuals and families build credit histories and scores — CBA offers practitioners hands-on credit building trainings, innovative tools, and forums for sharing with and learning from each other.
