CAMEO In Action

This week, Carolina is in Washington, D.C. meeting with SBA, USDA, and legislative staff to advocate for business development programs and funding. Meanwhile, Heidi attended RISE Financial Pathways’ Power Luncheon and then headed to the CALED conference where, along with Mary Anne Petrillo of West BDC and Heather Gurewitz of EDFC, she spoke to attendees about the Local Entrepreneurial Ecosystem Program (LEEP) and our project in Mendocino and Lake County (in photo Patty Hess of 3CORE, Heidi, and Karen Rich of USDA at CALED).

CRC Honors CAMEO

California Reinvestment Coalition will be honoring CAMEO and the other members of the Responsible Business Lending Coalition for their advocacy work that resulted in the passage of California’s Truth-In-Business-Lending bill SB 1235. The ceremony will take place at the CRC Community Heroes Awards Gala on May 2, 2019, in Oakland.

Take Action: Funding for Census Outreach

Nonprofits are trusted partners in their communities and have the best chance of making sure every Californian is counted.

CalNonprofits, along with the Census Policy Advocacy Network, has drafted a letter to the California Senate and Assembly budget committees to fund 2020 Census outreach by nonprofits by $93.4 million in the 2019-20 budget. Sign your organization on to the letter by filling out this form.
