Newly-created and quickly-developing, Opportunity Zones (OZ) will benefit the Capital Region by motivating increased investments of “patient capital” into our underserved communities. OZs have been enacted at the federal level, designated by each state’s Governor, and are being defined by federal agencies at the same time as investors are beginning to direct funds into emerging OZ funds.
The February 1 Capital Region Opportunity Zone Forum will gather key leaders including investors and advisors, project developers and businesses, community organizations, and local jurisdictions, as we work together to build stronger and more equitable communities.
