Heather Stafford is the Director of Adult Education for Siskiyou County and works out of the Siskiyou County Office of Education here in Yreka. She took this position nearly 6 months ago which allowed her to return home to Siskiyou County from several years in Portland, Oregon. After obtaining her MBA and Masters in Management from Southern Oregon University, Heather has spent most of her post graduate career leading business innovation and entrepreneurship efforts, working with investors and small businesses and collaborating with cities, counties, state agencies, legislature and Governor’s office to build policies and programs around building resilient local entrepreneurial ecosystems. Most recently Heather joined Oregon’s state economic development agency to build a new state office of Innovation & Entrepreneurship.
