We feel it’s important to be able to come together as a community to begin the rebuilding process, now more than ever. The event will now be 805 Strong: An Evening Honoring Entrepreneurs and will include disaster recovery resources.
In the wake of the devastation of the Thomas fire and mudslides in Montecito, the 805 community and many small businesses have been deeply affected and are facing extraordinary loss and challenges. As the community begins to rebuild itself after these tragedies, we feel a time to come together, support one another’s businesses and celebrate the strength and resilience of our local business community will be uplifting and encouraging. We hope that it will help draw light to the ways in which small businesses continue to be affected by the tragedy, how important it is for community members to remember to ‘Think Local First,’ and that it will be a place for business owners to connect with one another, access disaster recovery resources, and be encouraged by the fact that we as a community are stronger together.
